Stage 1
Missed Payments
Day 1–30: Grace period. Late notices begin. Day 30–90: Default status triggered. Notice of Intent to Foreclose sent via certified mail.

Stage 2
Lawsuit Filed
Lender files Foreclosure Complaint in Superior Court. You are served and have 35 days to answer. No answer = default judgment risk.
Stage 3
Final Judgment
If uncontested, lender requests Final Judgment. Court issues a Writ of Execution authorizing sale. Property referred to County Sheriff for auction

Sheriff Sale
